Being an Invasive Weeds Strike Team Corps Member is anything but typical. Members are packed, floated, or flown into remote backcountry camps in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness/ Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Complex (SBW/FC). Not to mention, they are combating one of the most pressing threats to the native species in the Northern Rockies ecosystem. This program puts you on the front lines to tackle invasive infestations.
Through chemical, mechanical, and biological treatment techniques, Corps Members gain valuable professional and practical experience in the growing field of resource conservation, all in addition to extensive and rigorous backcountry travel throughout the SBW/FC! The Invasive Strike Team plays a pivotal role in the preservation and protection of these delicate public lands.

### Benefits
Corps Members receive a $504 bi-weekly living allowance, a Government Applicator certification, and GPS/GIS training. Corps Members will also receive an education award of $1,493 upon completion of the term of service.
### Qualifications - Must have
Willingness to serve long hours and live and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desire to learn new skills, including group communication skills
Ability to hike long distances in rugged terrain, often carrying a heavy backpack or equipment
High school diploma, GED, or readiness to take the GED
US Citizenship
Abide by MCC rules and policies, and respect MCC as a drug- and alcohol-free workplace

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
