Job Description :
ILX ( ), a wholly owned subsidiary of Newport Corporation, designs and manufactures a broad range of photonics instrumentation, including laser diode controllers and drivers, temperature controllers, current sources, optical power and wavelength meters, semiconductor laser/LED burn-in, test and characterization systems, and fiber optic sources. ILX distributes its products in North America, Europe and Asia, and its customers include Fortune 500 corporations, national research laboratories, and government and educational institutions, many of whom are already customers of Newport for other products.
This position will aid in the sustaining maintenance and product development for the photovoltaic (PV) product line. This position will work on optical and electrical designs as part of the R&D team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems
Analyze equipment to establish operating data
Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
Job Requirements :
This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience with thermal simulation software is preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience with data acquisition equipment in a lab setting including digital multi-meters and temperature sensors. Must be a self-starter with high attention to detail and cood communications skills. Experience working with electro-optical devices is a plus.
This position is located in Bozeman, MT. Relocation is available.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
